Renaissance Malibu, the most exclusive addiction treatment center in the world, has two facilities, each providing a beautiful, serene location for our clients. Although men and women have separate facilities, each day the entire population is brought together for meals and treatment activities.
Women's Residence
Our Main Facility and Women's Residence for our addiction treatment center is a 20,000 square foot home with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, set in the Malibu Hills. This palatial estate, providing a healing, restful setting for addiction treatment, is magnificently landscaped with trees and vegetation from all over the world. Our 30-yard lap pool, outdoor Jacuzzi and tennis court allow stunning views of the breathtaking Pacific sunrise and sunset, allowing a great setting for reflection and meditation that are a part of addiction treatment. Community rooms include the library, clad in oak, a gourmet kitchen, and a gymnasium. Completing the amenities of the "most exclusive drug addiction treatment center in the world," most of our bedrooms have ocean views with beveled glass French doors, opening onto marble balconies.
Men's Residence
Situated on its own private beach, the Men's facility of our drug addiction treatment center boasts magnificent views and the gentle sound of the surf. This 5000 sq. ft home offers a beachside paradise with its own gourmet kitchen, beautifully landscaped yard and Swimming pool and Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean.
The Addiction Treatment Program at Renaissance Malibu is made up of several components, providing an effective, balanced approach to drug addiction treatment, as well as treatment for alcoholism. Our approach to addiction treatment addresses the needs of the entire person, spirit, soul and body.
Chemical Dependency
Treating chemical dependency is an integral part of drug addiction treatment. Not only does reliance on drugs and alcohol result in physical dependence and deterioration, but, ultimately, takes its toll in all other areas of a person's life.
Through the addiction treatment program at Renaissance Malibu, we assist you in treating the physical consequences of your disease, as well as addressing the destructiveness to family and friends; identifying your inner struggles and distorted beliefs; and provide you with grounding in the spiritual components crucial for recovery.
Co-Dependency
Co-Dependency is a term which indicates a common, life destroying orientation: using others, in many ways like an addict uses a drug, to establish one's identity, purpose and sense of well being. Any effective addiction treatment program will include a strong emphasis on co-dependency, as it affects the significant relationships in the addict's life. Co-dependency is not just an overwrought "caring", but manifests as a destructive pattern of excessive concern, control, manipulation and obsession with others to the detriment of oneself. The RENAISSANCE MALIBU addiction treatment program has a special track designed to address this condition, and liberate individuals from the destructive aspects of co-dependency.
PTSD/Trauma
Many of us carry a legacy born of trauma. These "trauma wounds" may be the most painful and difficult areas to access and heal. At RENAISSANCE MALIBU Addiction Treatment Center, we consider addressing past trauma a critical component to healing. We gently, yet thoroughly assist in identifying, reconnecting and healing traumatic pain, which can help you to establish a joyous, abundant and fulfilling life.
Co-Occurring Disorders (Dual Diagnosis)
It has become evident over the years that chemical dependency does not always occur alone, and can manifest in tandem with psychiatric conditions. Renaissance Malibu's addiction treatment staff is trained in addressing co-occurring disorders, and the unique struggles and challenges that one faces in dealing with them.
Continuing Care
The transition from completing treatment to returning to your home can be challenging. At Renaissance Malibu Addiction Treatment Center our commitment is to assist you in developing a support system of people and professionals in your community to help further your recovery goals. Renaissance Malibu's Addiction Treatment Program also provides ongoing contact and activities with our Alumni Association as well as internet-based aftercare support.
Family Program
Our family is our first social environment, and is where we are taught who we are, and how we should be. Despite good intentions, we all carry our family's legacy of distorted beliefs and patterns, which contribute to the pain we experience in life. Renaissance Malibu's addiction treatment program and drug addiction program sees this as a crucial area to address, not only for you, but for the loved ones that share your life. To this end, we offer a Family Therapy program including our Family of Origin experiential weekend.
